About Somewhere in Between

Somewhere in Between is a comic about growing up in that awkward, funny, messy space between childhood and whatever comes next. At the heart of it all is Boothe, a bright, thoughtful biracial kid who’s usually the smartest person in the room, but still has no clue what he’s doing half the time, and Nevaeh, his fearless barefoot best friend, whose rough edges hide a fiercely loyal heart. Together, they navigate friendship, family, school, first crushes, big feelings, and the kind of everyday chaos that somehow becomes the stuff you remember forever.

At times, the comic is goofy and lighthearted. At others, it slows down and gets real—touching on identity, belonging, insecurity, grief, love, and what it means to grow into yourself. The laughs are important, but so are the quiet moments in between.

More than anything, Somewhere in Between is about flawed, funny, loveable people trying to find where they fit in the world. Somewhere between kid and grown-up. Somewhere between who they are and who they’re becoming. Somewhere in between.
